EY Parthenon – Senior Consultant – Carve‑out & Integration

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.

Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Your new job | About your main responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution team, you play a key role in helping clients navigate complex transactions and transformations. You work across the full deal lifecycle, covering divestments, integrations, and value creation. In this role, you support decisions that directly impact business performance and long‑term value, working with leading corporates and investors on high‑impact, often large‑scale transactions.

We work end‑to‑end across the transaction lifecycle. On the sell side, we help clients prepare and separate businesses, from defining the transaction perimeter and designing standalone operating models and costing to executing the carve‑out. On the buy side, we work with clients to evaluate acquisition targets, define integration strategies, and realize synergies. Beyond the transaction, we continue to work alongside clients to realize change, challenge status‑quo, capture synergies, and deliver measurable improvements in performance.

You work directly with clients on carve‑outs, integrations, and transformations by structuring complex topics, advising on key decisions, and ensuring plans are translated into tangible results.

In your role, you:
  • Lead and execute in‑depth analyses on business performance, cost structures, and operations, translating comingled data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Structure complex problems and translate them into clear, actionable solutions, guiding workstreams from initial hypothesis through to implementation
  • Assess organizational setups and develop robust solutions, including standalone financials, operating‑model designs, and separation or integration approaches
  • Build robust business cases for synergies, cost optimisation, and broader value‑creation opportunities, and support their realisation
  • Translate strategic priorities into concrete actions and drive their execution to deliver tangible results
  • Work closely with clients to guide decision‑making, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments
  • Support and develop junior team members through coaching, feedback, and hands‑on guidance, helping them grow while ensuring high‑quality delivery
  • Collaborate with managers and senior stakeholders to refine hypotheses, challenge thinking, and steer overall project delivery
Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution

To be successful in this role we typically see:

  • A minimum of 2‑3 years relevant M&A experience or corporate transformations, preferably from corporate M&A teams, strategy consulting or big‑four firms
  • A Master’s degree in a science, engineering or business administration related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with operational aspects of M&A including due diligence, planning, synergies, value creation and / or post‑close transformation
  • An aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis and the ability to link business strategy to performance
  • The ability to lead and communicate effectively with sound reasoning, preferably in client‑facing roles
Your benefits | About your perks and work enjoyment
  • A competitive salary that reflects your role and responsibilities, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a solid pension plan, holiday allowance and an annual bonus (based on performance and development)
  • A permanent contract for 40 hours
  • A laptop and phone for both work and personal use, and a monthly internet allowance
  • 29 vacation days to recharge and unwind, plus the option to buy extra days
  • Mobility budget to choose how you travel – lease car, discounted public transport subscription, or arrange transport via our app
  • Hybrid working options to support a healthy work‑life balance – you can work from the office, at a client or from home with a well‑equipped home office
  • The opportunity to work up to 20 days per year from abroad
  • The option to swap three national holidays for non‑national ones
  • Broad range of trainings and courses to deepen expertise, develop personality and improve leadership style
  • Access to the OpenUp wellbeing platform (including for family) – psychologists and lifestyle experts available within 36 hours, and wellbeing sessions
  • Strong focus on team‑building and internal networks, with a positive work atmosphere and good collaboration contributing to overall happiness at work

All this within an environment where our core values of integrity, inclusiveness, and respect are central. We think it is important that you can be yourself and fully develop into the best version of yourself.

Research shows that women are less likely to apply if they don’t meet all the criteria. Please feel free to apply even if you don’t meet everything.
