Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced SAP Lead Consultant – Procurement with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, MM and SAP deployment frameworks including SAP Activate, Grow with SAP, Rise with SAP and SAP Cloud ALM (CALM).
In this exciting job, you will drive solution design, execution, and continuous improvement of procurement processes, ensuring alignment with SAP Best Practices and cloud‑ready delivery methodologies.
- Lead the design of SAP S/4HANA procurement solutions using SAP Best Practices and industry standards.
- Apply the SAP Activate methodology across project phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
- Integrate Grow, Rise, and CALM practices into overall delivery, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Own the end‑to‑end Source to Pay (S2P) process, ensuring strong process integration across finance, logistics, and sourcing.
- Lead Fit‑to‑Standard workshops following the Activate framework.
- Configure and optimise SAP MM and related procurement modules (Ariba, Central Procurement, Inventory Management, etc.).
- Requirement, task, and project management.
- Process documentation and traceability.
- Test preparation and orchestration.
- Deployment and transport governance.
- Operations monitoring and continual improvement.
- Drive testing cycles, migration activities, cut‑over plans, and go‑live.
- Support enablement, training, and change management activities.
- Act as functional lead for the procurement workstream in S/4HANA programs.
- Mentor junior consultants and manage functional delivery teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external SAP partners.
- Use insights from CALM analytics and monitoring to improve service quality and process performance.
- Promote SAP innovations such as digital procurement tools, automation, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics.
- Minimum 7 years of professional and project experience in the area of SAP MM and S/4HANA Logistics (in particular in procurement to pay, as well as supply chain planning processes).
- Proven track record as Lead Consultant in SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Strong hands‑on experience with:
- SAP Activate methodology
- Grow with SAP and/or Rise with SAP (must have)
- Deep functional knowledge of procurement, purchasing, vendor management, invoicing, sourcing, and inventory.
- Experience running Fit‑to‑Standard workshops (Activate Explore phase).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead functional teams across multiple countries or business units.
- For this position, you must already have a valid work permit to work in the Netherlands.
