Vacaturebeschrijving

As Agile Software Engineer you will be responsible for leading and coaching agile teams in architecting, designing, building, and delivering business applications for the CCO Domain. This is a hands-on leadership role, encompassing complete SDLC responsibilities, including definition, software design, development, testing, delivery, and support. You will also drive continuous improvement in delivering innovative, complex, and large-scale IT solutions for multiple products/systems.

You will partner directly with other developers, architects and product owners in the CCO Domain to ensure that DLL’s technology platforms meet evolving customer needs. Leading one or more Agile delivery teams, you will ensure team success by coaching them to size, manage scope, design optimal technical solutions, and identify and mitigate technical risks. You will support one or more domains in the IT CCO Delivery team, including Asset Management, Pay Per Use, Salesforce CRM, Uniform/Global API, and Commercial Effectiveness. Additionally, you will work with your team members to help them develop and achieve their personal and organizational career goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, architecture design, development, testing, delivery, and support of business applications using one or more development platforms/applications in the IT-CCO Domain.

  • Serve as a lead member of the Engineering team and liaison to architecture, driving decisions on business applications and components required for generating business value.
  • Act as a hands-on member of the Agile team to architect, design, develop, and test software applications.
  • Validate that technical solutions can be practically executed, properly integrated with the existing application portfolio, and aligned with enterprise strategies and roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Owners and other cross-functional development teams to support business value delivery.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through participation in the agile development process.
  • Solve complex business issues by applying innovative technical solutions for escalated and high-priority issues.
  • Plan and integrate the work activities of hybrid-working IT teams.
    • Collaborate with Business and IT leaders to convert needs into outcomes.
    • Develop, test, and deploy web applications using .NET Core, REST API in Azure. This includes:
    • Collaborate with other teams to design software architecture and write scalable code.
    • Oversee the other development team members, reviewing code and handling release coordination.
    • Writing stored procedures and functions in Azure SQL Database.
    • Participate in requirements analysis and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
    • Execute test plan updates, and test scenario execution.
    • Collaborate with Architecture and Integrations team members to develop best practices and methodologies.
    • Oversight and alignment on the entire Asset management environment, including design, development, maintenance and support.
    • Enhance the current CI/CD processes to support new and existing development.
    • Expected to perform bug fix and/or enhancement requests.
    • Ensures that deliveries by the team is supported with proper documentation
  • Participate in day-to-day maintenance of several application systems in operation, including identifying and troubleshooting application issues. .

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Knows relevant business processes or can learn them quickly.
  • Has a can-do mentality and is self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • 5-7+ years in Information Technology and experience working in Agile/Scrum
  • Extensive technology experience and skills in one or more development platforms/business applications such as Azure .Net, API, Portal Applications, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Salesforce, or Odessa.
  • Experience with other industry-specific custom applications, related development frameworks, and technologies.
  • Successful track record of IT project delivery and lifecycle management with demonstrated business results.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with web API (Azure)
    • Minimally 3+ years of hands-on experience and advanced development skills in :
    • Entity Framework, Dapper.
    • Front-end frameworks including React, Vue, Angular and Kendo etc
    • Experience with Azure development (Key Vault, App configuration, Cosmos DB, SQL DB, Application Insights, Front door, AD)
    • Experience with Azure CI/CD for .net applications
    • Relational database design and T-SQL Database Querying
    • Understanding of web application security (e.g. SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc
  • Agile and DevOps experience; Azure DevOps Deployment and Release Management using Azure DevOps tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills (towards business and developers).
    • Ability to communicate technical needs and solutions with non-technical staff (ie. Gather requirements, understand business user issues)
    • Ability to explain requirements to developers (via User stories).
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment.

  • Experience leading technology teams of 5-15 members with diverse technology experience and skills
  • Ability to provide technical leadership across business and technical project dimensions, solving complex business requirements.
