As a scale-up company, we are growing steadily in both size and presence worldwide. We are looking for a new Assembly Technician to join our growing team, based at our headquarters in Delft.
Responsibilities- Assemble, integrate, and test cryostats and control electronics;
- Perform soldering of electrical cables and connectors;
- Test and validate printed circuit boards (PCBs);
- Carry out measurements and testing on optical fibers;
- Route and organize cables and optical fibers with high precision and attention to detail.
The work is done individually, but you will be working closely within the Assembly team and together with the Optical Testing, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering teams. With ongoing improvements and growth of the Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detector (SNSPD), you are also heavily involved in new developments in cryostat and electronics assembly.
The cryostats are the face and body of our products; they are the system that binds all components together, and the electronics are the window into our products. Therefore, the highest possible quality is required. In the end, you will deliver a physical product for both commercial and research purposes.
You will work full time and will be based at our HQ in Delft, contributing to our dynamic and friendly work environment.
Your profile and requirementsWe are looking for someone who...
- You like to work with your hands to assemble and get things working;
- You have previous experience with technical assembly;
- You have a strong eye for detail and quality;
- You are committed, not afraid to take ownership
- Proficient in both English and Dutch.
The following working experiences are a plus:
- Familiarity with vacuum technologies and cryogenic systems;
- Experience with soldering and in electronics assembly;
- Experience with (3D) CAD software;
- Hands-on experience in high-tech production;
- Prior work in an optics lab is a big plus.
