Senior Software Developer
What are you going to do? With your energy, anything is possibleAs a Senior Software Developer in Team Sensonic, you help shape innovative data solutions that make it possible to share critical grid data with the outside world. You are a proactive, enthusiastic team player with strong technical skills, who likes to learn, takes on challenges and communicates clearly.
Job requirements How you approach itYou join Team Sensonic, part of the Asset Net Capacity & Insight chain. Together you work on innovative pilots that enable data sharing with external parties. Think data pipelines, APIs, streaming data, web portals, internal tools for network analysts, charts, graphs and forecasts - all built with the future in mind. You work in an Agile way, tackling challenges from multiple angles with a strong team spirit. Responsibility lives as close to the work as possible and, just like the other six teams in our value chain, you are jointly responsible for the work you deliver. You actively share knowledge, learn from others and continuously look for ways to improve by being open and honest in the team.
We would love to work with someone who enjoys guiding others through technical processes and sharing their expertise with the team. You get energy from helping people grow - and growing yourself along the way.
- Design, build and maintain robust software solutions for capacity and congestion management data.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, APIs, streaming solutions and web-based tools for internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate complex business and grid challenges into scalable technical solutions.
- Contribute to the design of our "Watch Towers", which map out problems and risks in current and future low and medium voltage networks.
- Help automate network designs to structurally solve existing and future grid challenges.
- Work closely with other teams in the value chain to ensure a single source of truth for capacity bottlenecks, touch safety concerns and voltage limitations.
- Coach colleagues, share best practices and help raise the overall engineering level of the team.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within large organizations.
- Hands-on, in-depth expert knowledge of and experience with Python and JavaScript / Vue.js.
- Experience with back-end frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools like DBT and Apache Airflow.

- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps practices and GitLab CI.
- Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile environment.
- You speak Dutch and/or English fluently.
Our software engineering team is laying the groundwork for Capacity and Congestion Management Data. By combining various data sources into a single source of truth, we create a clear view of issues such as capacity bottlenecks, touch safety concerns and voltage limitations. But we do not stop there; we develop smart solutions to tackle these bottlenecks and evaluate both the problems and the fixes. Using our "Watch Towers", we map out problems and risks in current and future low and medium voltage networks and put together tailored solution packages. Our main goal is to create automated network designs that will structurally solve existing and future challenges in the grid.
We value a team where everyone feels at home, because it is our differences that make us stronger. Diverse perspectives help us tackle complex challenges - and that is exactly what the energy transition needs.
What do you get from us? And we also invest energy in youYou join a motivated, multidisciplinary team with a strong learning culture. You get the space to experiment with new technologies, to deepen your expertise and to contribute directly to the energy transition. You work in an environment where ownership is encouraged and where you can actively help shape how we use data for a future-proof energy system.
In addition to a meaningful role in the heart of the energy transition, you can expect an attractive benefits package in line with Enexis' collective labour agreement and market standards, including:
- A competitive salary based on your experience and expertise.
- A solid pension scheme and attractive secondary benefits.
