Marine Systems & Piping- Define and select marine system configurations and components during the proposal phase.
- Develop technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical evaluations of supplier quotations in collaboration with the purchasing department.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with technical and project requirements, adhering to agreed schedules, quality standards, and budgets.
- Review supplier documentation, including schematics, drawings, and calculations.
- Foster multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal project solutions. Identify and recommend improvements for integrating delivered systems into ship designs.
- Prepare essential technical documents such as system descriptions, installation procedures, and acceptance test protocols.
- Verify technical performance through dynamic simulations, equipment inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Provide technical support during on-site installations, Harbour Acceptance Tests (HATs), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SATs) as needed.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in the maritime/naval industry or mechanical system design.
- Strong knowledge of marine systems and equipment.
- Experience in marine equipment coordination and maintenance.
- Experience managing complex projects involving suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Fluent in English (Dutch or German proficiency is a plus).
- Must be a permanent EU citizen.
- At least 25 days of paid holidays with an additional 13 days available.
