Proposal Engineer

Our client, a trusted provider of critical energy solutions, is looking for a Proposal Engineer who brings a unique combination of technical insight and commercial understanding. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and compelling proposals that directly support the delivery of robust backup power systems in mission‑critical environments.

As a Proposal Engineer, you will translate complex customer needs into detailed, technically sound, and commercially viable proposals. Your deliverables will include technical specifications, cost estimates, visual layouts, and clear timelines, all tailored to meet customer expectations and project demands. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, procurement, and project management—to ensure proposals are both practical and cost‑effective.

Beyond internal coordination, you will foster strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to secure accurate input for your proposals. You'll also contribute to improving internal processes and templates, ensuring proposal quality and consistency across projects.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
• At least 10+ years of experience in a similar proposal or technical engineering role, ideally in backup power or energy sectors
• Working knowledge of generator and engine systems
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience working in a project‑based environment
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar design software
• Commercial awareness and ability to collaborate with sales/account teams
