Senior System Engineer Combat

Play a key role in developing advanced naval combat systems. Lead requirements management and system integration in high-stakes projects. Salary up to €85,000 per year, depending on experience.

In this position, you will be responsible for driving requirements management and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification) activities, ensuring effective system integration and compliance across complex technical environments. This role acts as a bridge between technical teams and key stakeholders, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements and their influence on modern combat system architecture and performance.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior System Engineer Combat, your tasks will include:

• Requirements Management
• Lead and maintain system and subsystem requirements. Ensure traceability, alignment, and thorough documentation across all components of the combat system.
• System Engineering Leadership
• Serve as a technical authority in system architecture and integration. Guide the development and flow-down of system requirements to subsystem levels.
• IVVQ Coordination
• Oversee verification and validation efforts. Review deliverables and ensure full compliance with all applicable requirements.
• Stakeholder Management
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external/internal stakeholders, offering guidance on system integration and engineering best practices.
• Support closure of non-functional requirements and actively contribute to the refinement of requirements management and IVVQ processes.

• A Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and significant hands-on experience with complex systems engineering or subcontract management, ideally in shipbuilding or a comparable industry.
• Deep understanding of naval and/or combat systems integration.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS.
• Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary project environments.
• Demonstrated leadership or coordination in technically complex engineering projects.

• Monthly gross salary starting at €6,500 (based on 40 hours/week).
• 38 vacation days (including compensatory time off)
• Travel allowance (€0.23 per km)
