Integration & Test Engineer

We are looking for an Integration & Test Engineer to join our technical team. You’ll work hands-on in our lab to test, troubleshoot, and integrate third-party hardware into our Energy Management System (EMS). If you’re a tech-savvy, curious engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and wiring up real devices – this job is for you.

You will serve as the vital link between our team and our hardware partners. You will focus on integration using Modbus communication to unlock the full potential of these hardware systems. As the technical bridge, you\'ll ensure smooth communication, facilitating efficient product enhancements. • Test & Integrate: Ensure compatibility between inverters, batteries, and Bliq’s EMS hard- and software.
• Work Hands-On: Commission, wire, and configure real systems in our integration lab.
• Liaison with Partners: Serve as the primary point of contact between Bliq and our hardware partners, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of product workings.
• Troubleshoot: Identify and solve Modbus communication and hardware integration issues.
• Technical support: Act as a 3rd-line expert to help installers and support staff solve complex issues.
• Document Findings: Maintain internal documentation on how each system behaves and is integrated.
• Improve Products: Provide feedback to the development team to support software features and device support.
• Product Improvement: Continuously research and recommend product improvements based on market needs and technological advancements

• Experience in a relevant engineering field
• Familiar with terms like RS485, Modbus, CAN RF868
• Experience with APIs (Postman) and serial communication protocols like Modbus, RS485, RS232 is a plus
• Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring, series/parallel connections, and understanding of home electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving and reverse engineering skills, the most important aspect of this role
• Proactive, self-starting and a hands-on attitude
• Good communication skills in English
• Familiarity with renewable energy systems, especially home batteries and solar power, is a plus
