CNC machining of composite structures is a key process in the manufacturing chain. Join KVE to help us develop products such as radomes, rotor blades and aircraft components using various composite manufacturing processes.
Your destinationKVE has multiple 5‑axis machining centers up to 6 m long. These machines produce not only composite components but also supply the complete KVE group of plastic and metallic tooling for all our production processes.
Responsibilities- Act as the technical responsible for engineering activities in the machine shop.
- Collaborate with the Design and Composite Manufacturing engineering department on new projects and internal process developments.
- Downflow customer and process requirements to the manufacturing phase.
- Design and develop trimming jigs and other innovative clamping structures.
- Advise design engineering on manufacturability, cost, and production optimisation.
- Adopt new machining techniques, tools, and automation in the machining department.
- Execute projects independently or as part of an engineering team, depending on size and experience.
To be successful you have a passion for composites and CNC machining. You have worked within a high‑tech engineering‑manufacturing organisation and hold a technical degree in engineering with proven machining affinity, or you excel at CNC machining and programming and are ready for the next career step. You are hands‑on, have a can‑do mentality, are a true team player, and know what it takes to meet internal and external expectations.
Desired qualifications- MBO level 4 with proven experience in CNC machining and high‑tech industries, or a BSc/MSc/BEng degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of working experience in a technical environment.
- Experience in design engineering and composite manufacturing.
- Excellent command of English and/or Dutch.
- Permit to work in the Netherlands.
