Purpose of the roleThe Manufacturing Execution System Engineer is responsible for ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital records within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at Boxmeer site. This role focuses on developing and implementing optimal methodologies for MES operations, maintaining compliance with company policies, quality standards and industry regulations. The MES Engineer provides technical expertise, supports investigations and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver robust Digital Records (batch records) and functionalities that enable reliable and sustainable manufacturing performance. Additionally, the role drives system updates, documentation compliance with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements and fosters continuous improvement initiatives while representing the Boxmeer MES team within global forums.
This is an onsite role; you will be expected to be onsite at least 3 days a week.
Tasks and responsibilities- Use and support Koerber/Werum PAS|X for manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MES and automation issues; support investigations as needed.
- Develop, maintain and enhance MES recipes and capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver robust, reliable MES functionality.
- Plan, execute, and close updates/changes in compliance with quality standards and SDLC.
- Provide MES expertise to cross-functional teams and represent the Boxmeer MES team globally.
- Perform MES administration and maintenance, ensuring validated automation systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor degree in engineering, Science or equivalent.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate issues when necessary.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally and delivering technical solutions to MES challenges.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
