Are you ready to take technical ownership in complex offshore energy projects? Our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to help shape the future of offshore wind by delivering high‑quality electrical designs for offshore substations.
Company informationOur client provides customized solutions in the field of offshore energy activities. They offer advice from initial feasibility studies to the execution of all engineering and procurement activities! They have a proven track record in offshore platforms, FPSOs, onshore facilities, and complex steel and mechanical installations for maritime applications, and are making significant progress in the offshore hydrogen production market.
Vacancy informationOur client, a leading engineering partner in the offshore wind sector, specializes in the Basic and Detail Engineering of offshore high‑voltage substations. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key technical role in multidisciplinary projects, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of all electrical engineering deliverables.
In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating electrical system studies and calculations, primarily performed using ETAP. This includes load flow analysis, short‑circuit calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination, and arc flash studies. You will ensure that the outputs are technically correct, aligned with project specifications, and in compliance with international standards such as IEC and IEEE.
You will provide technical support to the Lead Electrical Engineer and act as a mentor and supervisor for junior and medior engineers within the team. By offering guidance and review, you help elevate the technical level of the entire electrical discipline. You collaborate closely with other engineering teams (mechanical, instrumentation, civil) to deliver integrated and constructible designs.
Having experience with EPC contractors is essential, as you understand the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through to construction and commissioning. You know how to assess technical risks, contribute to design reviews, and liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and construction partners. Experience in offshore projects, particularly in offshore wind or power generation, is highly desirable and will help you hit the ground running in this dynamic role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven engineer who wants to take ownership of engineering quality in high‑impact energy transition projects.
What do you need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- At least 7 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within EPC project environments
- Hands‑on experience with ETAP for power system analysis (load flow, short‑circuit, arc flash, harmonics, etc.)
- Strong ability to critically assess, verify, and validate electrical engineering outputs
- Experience in offshore projects or offshore wind is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE) and grid connection requirements
- Proven leadership in guiding junior and medior engineers within a project setting
