How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The proposed mission takes place in the Industrial Merchant activities of Air Liquide in the BeNeLux and more particularly in its Maintenance team. The maintenance teams look after more than 2000 customer installations and several production units at customer sites. The mission will be held from the head office in Evere (Brussels) but serve BNL locations and might require some travels to the Netherlands (Eindhoven) and Belgium (Milmort, Herenthals).
The BNL Maintenance core team is composed of 5 people:
- Maintenance Manager South (based in Luxembourg)
- Maintenance Manager Centre & North (based in Brussels)
- Assets Manager (based in Brussels)
- Business Support & Transport Carriers Manager (based in Herentals)
- Electronics Operations Manager (based in Herentals)
All reporting to the Benelux Maintenance & Business Support Manager and travel occasionally across BNL.
The Junior Maintenance Excellence Engineer will provide support to the maintenance management. Their main missions are:
- Be the first contact for deployment of Group initiatives (such as Wave, ALign)
- Analyse and report Maintenance (and other) KPI’s
- Progress on spare parts stock management (technicians vans + local warehouses / creation of technicians catalog)
- Describe a detailed training process for Maintenance technicians and planners
- Create a central (Intranet) page linking all maintenance (and other) related documentation and update this documentation when deemed necessary
- Create structure for maintenance tools and equipment
- Update technical documentation (P&ID) of customer installations
- Support or improve Assets administrative processes (Important)
In general, they will also be in charge of detecting improvements in our processes by using Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as process or value stream mapping, propose solutions and report progress to the Benelux Maintenance management.
Possible deliverables could be:
- New KPI or DPM dashboards
- A detailed maintenance training schedule or manual
- A central (Intranet) page linking all maintenance related documentation
- A maintenance spare parts catalogue
- An up to date inventory of maintenance tools and equipment with maintenance plans
- Updated maintenance work instructions and procedures
Are you a MATCH?
The candidate has a Master’s degree in Engineering (or similar), high project management skills, general knowledge of industrial processes and organization, is very well structured, and has good knowledge of IT tools (such as Google sheets, Web based applications).
Has appetite for data, understanding of field applications and techniques.

- Education in the field of engineering or informatics
- Field of specialization: maintenance methods and tools
- No work experience required
- English spoken and written is mandatory

Position open only for candidates eligible to the VIE program. Therefore, only the applicants meeting the requirements of the French V.I.E program will be taken into consideration.
