This is the role

As Senior DevOps Engineer you are responsible for maintaining and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless operation of medication dispensing devices and services. This includes ensuring high system availability, automating processes, and adhering to security standards. You will guide and support the DevOps team and contribute to product development and technical strategy.

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and maintain cloud platforms to achieve efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Support on-premise servers and applications (will be migrated in 2026 to AWS)
• Deliver and support on premise proprietary infrastructure at partner pharmacies/hospitals where medicine rolls are being produced.
• Proactively monitor system performance and address potential issues before they escalated.
• Share expertise, best practices, and mentor team members as needed.
• Participate in strategic discussions on tech‑debt management and project execution.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software deployment.

This could be youEssential skills

• Advanced AWS expertise: multi‑account architectures (Organizations, Control Tower), networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect), security services (Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM).
• Strong Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux).
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible (CloudFormation a plus).
• CI/CD: GitLab CI experience preferred.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS.
• Database operations: MariaDB/MySQL clustering, backup/recovery.
• Load balancers: HAProxy, Nginx, or AWS ALB/NLB.
• Scripting: Bash, Python (PHP a plus).
• Incident command experience in production environments.
• Clear communication in English (verbal and written).
• Experience with security compliance (ISO 27001, NIS2).

Not required, but is a big plus

• Dutch language skills
• Healthcare sector experience
• RabbitMQ, Keycloak experience
• Datadog or similar APM tools
• Experience with AWS Landing Zone Accelerator
