Data Engineer (Medior/Senior)

As a Data Engineer at Aurai, you work on challenging data and cloud projects for clients across a variety of industries. You design, build, and optimize end-to-end data platforms and pipelines, helping organizations advance and mature their data strategies.

You collaborate closely with fellow data engineers, consultants, and client teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and future-proof data solutions. Depending on your experience, you take ownership of parts of a project or play a leading role in setting up and delivering projects from start to finish. You quickly identify what is needed to make a project successful and ensure solutions are not only built, but also properly delivered and adopted.

In this role, you combine hands‑on engineering with a consulting mindset. You advise clients on tools, architectures, and best practices, and enjoy contributing to custom‑built solutions that fit the organization’s context and ambitions.

What you bring to the table

• at least 3 years of experience in a data engineering or similar role

• Experience working with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar technologies

• Experience with modern data platforms and frameworks such as Snowflake and/or Databricks

• Interest in or experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, Cloud Solution Design, and scalable data platforms

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written

Please note that for this position, we are looking for candidates who have the legal right to work in the Netherlands and speak Dutch fluently.
