Mechanical Design Engineer | Engineering

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ALTEN, you will employ your knowledge of advanced mechanics and design in high-tech machine platforms.

In this role, you will complement the team with your expertise in mechanical design. You will work on projects in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively at different levels (including with international colleagues). You will keep an eye on manufacturability during the design and apply construction principles.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire mechanical aspect of the machine. Your responsibilities may include:

1. Designing the machine’s architecture.
2. Creating detailed 3D models using CAD software (Solidworks, Inventor, Siemens NX, etc.).
3. Coordinating with our software and electronics teams.
4. Collaborating with external suppliers when necessary.

You have a completed education at HBO/WO level in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.

You have experience with and knowledge of:

• The CAD packages SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or Creo.

It is not a requirement, but you have an advantage if you:

• Have knowledge of DFM, DFA, and DFS.
• Have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Have experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Have knowledge of FEM analysis.
• Have experience with the V-model, Agile, Project Management, etc.
