Job Title: DevOps engineer File Transfer

Location: Amsterdam, NL

Duration: B2b Contract 6-12 month

Working Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

Please find the JD, Talented Managed File Transfer engineer with deep understanding of Managed File Transfer protocols and experienced with the MFT solution of the Axway suite. Who have experience with maintaining an infrastructure via azure pipeline and ansible.

You will join the FileTransfer team who is responsible for the FileTransfer service which is used internal, between applications, and external, between the client and external partners.

This team manages a big estate of different assets over different platforms, each asset having their own functionality and technical challenges.

• You will work on a new solution for the external file transfer service, migrate the consumers and maintain the infrastructure.


• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and manage infrastructure as code


• DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and efficient application deployment.


• DevSecOps Security: Implement (automate) and maintain robust security measures to protect our platforms from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.


• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in platform architecture and work on risk mitigation strategies.


• Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for improved efficiency.


• Alerting and Incident Response: Set up proactive alerting systems and develop incident response procedures to ensure platform reliability and availability.


• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for platform architecture, configurations, and procedures.


• Coaching and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members and share your expertise through coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• You have experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps, Gitlab


• You have experience with automated deployments via Ansible


• You have experience with OS monitoring tools (such as Grafana and Prometheus) as well as dashboard creation


• You have excellent knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Shell). Developing experience with Python, Java or Golang is also a big nice to have.


• Hands-on experience with Axway products (CFT/ Gateway) is a big plus.


• You have great problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


• You are a strong communicator and like to collaborate with others.


• You are eager to learn new technologies and ability to pick up things quickly and put them into use.


• You think it through and look at the larger picture


• You have basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies


• You have good English communication skills, verbal as well as written
