Procurement Engineer page is loaded **Procurement Engineer**locationsBelgium time typeFull time posted onPosted 30+ Days Ago job requisition idR0000020 As a Procurement Engineer you work in Dordrecht (NL) or incidentally in the HQ in Zwijndrecht (B) and support our DEME Infra tender and project team(s) with different projects worldwide.**Your responsibilities*** You are actively involved in DBFM, DB and EPC projects with focus on project related procurement together with the tender/project team(s). * You are responsible for market screening and the development of a procurement strategy. * You prepare complete Request For Quotation (RFQ) and/or Request For Information (RFI). You follow up offers from suppliers, subcontractors and consultants (price, contractual & technical aspects, planning, QA/HSE aspects, …) and organize clarification/negotiation meetings with suppliers, subcontractors and consultants. You also negotiate/finalize contracts together with project team. * You define and manage opportunities and risks per project. * You share market intelligence / drivers, knowledge, technologies evolution, innovation opportunities. You develop a network within the procurement department/business Units, connect with technical experts,... * You follow up (performance of contracted) suppliers, subcontractors and consltants: opportunities/risks, capacity, quality, total cost, security of supply, sustainability program,… * You apply business policies and standards including the agreed methodology, but also challenge existing ways of working in order to improve procurement results and efficiency, delivering procurement targets. **Your profile*** You have preferably a Masters but minimum a Bachelors degree in civil engineering. * You are curious, analytical, meticulous and result driven. You are able to prioritize and meet deadlines. You are a team player. You are able to develop a working relationship with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high 'customer service' orientation. * You have a high level of commercial awareness and have excellent communication skills. You are able to influence business partners and suppliers, subcontractors and consultants, as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to requirements/contracts. * You are strong in strategic and conceptual thinking/cross functional thinking.
