We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer that works directly with Account Executives to evaluate technical needs and develop sales strategies with the customers. This position will provide demos to customers of core products and propose designs and validations. Acting as a technical account leader, the Sr. Sales Engineer will help the customer understand proof of concept/proof of technology definition and management.
Your tasks will include:- Conduct compelling product presentations and demonstrations during pre‑sales discussions, collaborating cross‑functionally to support complex, multi‑product solution deals.
- Leverage Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in ERP to meticulously analyze customer requirements and recommend optimal product and service solutions.
- Develop and support comprehensive bid proposals, proactively identifying and suggesting incremental sales opportunities for accounts up to $100M.
- Cultivate and maintain extensive, in‑depth technical knowledge of complex product features and underlying systems architecture.
- Serve as the primary resource for clients by addressing technical inquiries regarding product functionality and usage, and providing timely resolution to sales support challenges.
- Deliver technical consultations and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with sales staff, trainers, and product support teams to enhance collective expertise.
- Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent educational background and professional history.
- Demonstrated experience in presenting comprehensive technical solutions, leveraging expertise in IT project management, consultative strategy, and technical implementation.
- Ability to innovate and iterate in real‑time to solve complex, ambiguous business problems.
- Proven capability to strategically engage in complex supply chain sales cycles, driving high‑impact results and establishing immediate credibility with stakeholders.
- A record of exhibiting dynamic, cross‑functional teamwork to successfully plan and execute sales campaigns.
- Willingness and demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical training to new and developing Sales Engineers.
- Knowledge of business or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including hands‑on product demonstration skills, is strongly preferred.
- Previous professional experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail, or broader Supply Chain sectors.
- Proven technical competence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, with a preference for Salesforce.com.
