What are you going to do?

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Demcon, you will take charge of technically complex projects within the medical sector, with clients in areas such as critical care devices, smart wearables and robotic surgery. You will be a key figure in multidisciplinary teams, working with the team to translate client requirements into mechanical designs, prototypes and end products that make a difference in patient care.

With your extensive experience, you will have final responsibility for the mechanical design and technical progress within projects. You will manage and supervise less experienced engineers and work closely with the system architect to arrive at optimal solutions. Not only are you an expert in drawing up and analysing specifications, but you also know how to convince clients and stakeholders of your design choices with clear technical arguments.

You will lead the entire development process, from the concept phase through realisation and verification to industrialisation, and ensure that projects meet the highest quality and safety requirements within schedule and budget. With your proactive approach to risk management and documentation, you will ensure that both technical and regulatory standards are met.

Every day, you work with precision mechanics, advanced manufacturing techniques, tolerances and construction principles. Your expertise drives innovation and ensures that Demcon remains a leader in high-tech medical solutions.

What do you bring to the table?

• Completed technical BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or similar;
• At least 10 years of work experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably in high‑tech or medical product development.
• Leadership experience; you have previously supervised engineers and have been technically responsible for projects.
