Global Operations Outbound is our specialty practice that manages our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) outsourcing engagements, which amongst others, can include tax compliance, statutory reporting, tax accounting, bookkeeping and payrolling services. Global Operations Outbound provides end-to-end global compliance management across multiple countries and workstreams. We coordinate, communicate and elevate compliance issues on behalf of the client, prepare contracting and manage costs of compliance. Global Operations Outbound coordinates, tracks, aligns and harmonizes the different compliance streams. Working together with the client and different EY specialist teams, we identify process improvements and technology solutions to make the compliance processes more efficient and provide more insight into the client’s global tax position.
We manage the client’s global compliance footprint, keeping them informed, aware, and in control, while coordinating all service delivery efficiently. Services include:
- Setting up a global governance, communication, and reporting model with the client.
- Implementing supporting technology solutions, such as workflow tools and dashboards.
- Coordinating and monitoring compliance processes across countries, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Managing transitions, transformations, scope, and fee changes.
- Monitoring legislative changes, reporting compliance risks and opportunities, and resolving issues related to processes, communication, or technology.
- Liaising with client contacts and internal EY teams (Statutory Reporting, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Taxes, Payroll) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Preparing client updates, reports, and meetings, and supporting optimization of end-to-end compliance processes.
- Building and maintaining extensive internal and external networks to facilitate smooth compliance operations.
The Global Operations Outbound is based in the Netherlands (primarily Amsterdam office, alternated with working remotely) and is supported by a dedicated team in EY’s Global Delivery Services centre based in India. The main languages of the team are Netherlands and English.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution- Background in finance or tax is required.
- Be comfortable working in a process driven finance, accounting, tax and compliance environment;
- Have strong English language capabilities – both written and verbal communication;
- Be comfortable in a client facing role – building client relationships though regular client contact;
- Have strong organizational skills – handling a variety of tasks simultaneously, the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines;
- Be a team player – we need someone who is outgoing, has good communications skills, is committed and keen to build new relationships within EY’s GCR network;
