Can you lead the structural scope of complex single-lift projects, from concept to offshore execution?
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural scope of single-lift platform installations and removals. You'll be responsible for designing, analysing, and implementing procedures, as well as providing offshore support to ensure the safe and efficient execution.
Tasks & responsibilities:- Take end-to-end ownership of the structural scope: define methods, priorities, quality standards, budgets, schedules, and material take-offs.
- Perform and validate concept/basic/detailed calculations, as well as FEM simulations, for topsides, jackets, and installation/removal aids; sign off on deliverables.
- Develop and review procedure (testing, use of lifting/support tools), align with project, marine, and offshore teams, and provide troubleshooting during execution.
- Review and challenge subcontractor designs and methods; ensure compliance with codes, project requirements, and risk/HSE constraints.
- Lead and mentor junior/medior engineers, coordinate interfaces across disciplines, and capture lessons learned and close-out inputs to improve standards.
- Bachelor's/Master's in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (offshore/Maritime focus preferred).
- 8+ years relevant structural engineering experience in offshore/marine, heavy-lift, or comparable large projects.
- Proven ability to own work packages and deliver independently with strong stakeholder coordination and leadership/mentoring skills.
- Proficiency with structural/FEM tools (e.g., FEMAP, GeniE) and solid grounding in applicable codes and class requirements.
- Clear and excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus!
- Willing to travel offshore occasionally; hands‑on mindset and strong affinity with offshore/marine environments.
