As a Cost Engineer, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the sales process by translating client requirements into technical and commercial proposals.
Key responsibilities and qualifications- Creating reliable cost calculations and assembling detailed quotation files.
- Collaborating with departments such as engineering, project management, and purchasing to develop preliminary designs and technical specifications.
- Maintaining close contact with clients to ensure timely and accurate quotations with appropriate pricing and technical detail.
- Ensuring a seamless handover of the sales file to the project team after order confirmation.
- Proposing and implementing improvements to processes, standard calculations, and tooling to enhance the quotation process.
- MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Several years of relevant experience in the yacht building sector (this is a mandatory requirement).
- Systematic, assertive, and analytically strong.
- Flexible, stress-resistant, and focused on customer satisfaction and results.
- Able to work independently and communicate with a commercial mindset.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, Dutch would be a strong advantage.
- Sales experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- Competitive salary range depending on the experience.
