Job Description
- Data Architecture: Developing and maintaining the organization's data architecture strategy in alignment with business objectives and designing efficient data models that ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Data Governance and Compliance: You will develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices regarding data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Data Lifecycle Management: You oversee the entire data lifecycle, including acquisition, storage, transformation, and retrieval. You implement data quality and metadata management strategies.
- Data Classification and Leakage Prevention: You develop and implement data classification policies, ensuring sensitive information is properly identified and secured. You design and manage leak prevention strategies to ensure data integrity.
Data Lake/Warehouse: You manage the design, development, and maintenance of the data warehouse infrastructure and optimize storage and retrieval processes for efficient analysis and reporting. - Asset Management in CMDB: You manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure accurate and up-to-date information on all IT assets. You also implement best practices for asset tracking and utilization.
- Disaster Recovery: You design and maintain disaster recovery plans for data systems to minimize disruptions and quickly recover from unforeseen events. You regularly conduct evaluations and simulations to test the effectiveness of these plans.
- Collaboration and Communication: You collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and translate complex technical concepts into a way that is understandable for non-technical stakeholders.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: You evaluate emerging technologies and tools in data management and recommend and implement solutions that improve data storage, analysis, and visualization.
The Successful Applicant
- You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in, for example, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, preferably supplemented with certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty).
- You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
- You have experience with cloud-based data systems and architectures.
- You have knowledge of and experience with data analytics, machine learning, and AI concepts.
- You have in-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., ISA-88 and ISA-95).
- You have knowledge of and experience with data modeling, database design, and optimization.
- You have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- You have experience with data management technologies such as databases, ETL tools, and data warehousing solutions.
- You possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
