We are looking for a Financial/Business Controller to join our hotel team and act as a strategic Finance Business Partner to senior management. Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West, a vibrant and colourful hotel and Amsterdam Congress Center, featuring 476 rooms and 20 meeting rooms conveniently located next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station and easily reachable for both guests and team members by car and public transport. The hotel is designed by the renowned designer Karim Rashid. The hotel is part of the VEN complex, meaning it shares the building with Holland Casino, LimeHome apartments, World of Karaoke and Restaurant Azura. Your key responsibilities
- Act as Financial/Business Controller, driving business developments and identify business opportunities;
- Lead accurate month-end closings, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide proactive financial advice to hotel management, supported by risk analysis, trend evaluation, and business insights.
- Review reports and deliver clear, data-driven analyses for decision-making.
- Oversee financial compliance, reporting integrity, and internal controls and ensure contractual and audit requirements are met aligned with company policies and local legislation.
- Support strategic initiatives such as cost optimization and tenders.
Your profile
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to advise at operational, tactical and strategic level.
- Proven experience in financial control or business control within the hotel industry (a must).
- HBO or higher degree in finance, hotel management or a related field- or equivalent through experience.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- You have strong expertise in financial analysis and reporting, combined with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting strategic planning to drive business performance.
- Experience working with hotel owners, auditors, and external service providers.
