De functie

We are looking for an control engineer in the field of Thermal management and drive line control. The control engineer has knowledge of state-of-art modelling techniques and control theory including test case definitions and robust controls. You are able to transfer this knowledge into appropriate algorithms which integrate and operate a truck and its components in the most optimal way. Having extended knowledge (or willingness to build-up this knowledge) of Zero-Emission technologies and Automotive high voltage systems is mandatory. You will be developing control functions in a multidisciplinary team and take the lead for specifying, designing and realising control functions in particular for energy management for electric and hybrid vehicles and driveline controls like cruise control, start stop.Your challenges:Ability to translate customer requirements into effective control concepts;Initiate, coordinate and report progress of your projects to stakeholders in a multidisciplinary teamDesign and verify control concepts using SIL, HIL or RCP on a vehicleMonitor the function development towards implementation and validation.Unambiguous documentation of controller requirements for smooth handover to the Embedded Engineering departmentYou cooperate closely within a multidisciplinary team with different stakeholders, such as function owners, system owners, architects, test engineers and suppliers. You are the linking pin for translating their input into a feasible control concept design.

The department Vehicle Control within Product Development is responsible for the definition, design and validation of feasible control concepts for vehicle functions, both in advanced technology projects as in product development projects. These control concepts are applied in all Paccar vehicles.

Jouw profiel

Master degree in the Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringExperience in control function development - Preferably for automotive applicationsProactive attitude, and hands on mentalityExtensive knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and control toolboxesFluent in the English language - effective communication in both verbal and written formPre: Experience in SAE J1939 CAN, CAN-FD, Functional Safety and Cyber SecurityPre: Doors Next Generation and dSpace tools experienceIf you have a matching profile but it does not meet all the job requirements, we ask you to apply anyway.
