Role and responsibilities
Model Risk Oversight tribe (MRO) is an energetic, international, and diverse team of highly qualified Model Risk Managers, Model risk framework experts in Amsterdam and Warsaw. MRO is developing and rolling out the Model Risk Management (MoRM) framework which scope covers all models used within ING Bank worldwide, supports/guides global and local model communities in the execution of the model life cycle activities, facilitating oversight, monitoring and reporting model risk.
You will be part of the Model Risk Chapter in Amsterdam.
You'll be involved in supporting the roll-out of model risk management framework in different risk domains (e.g. Credit risk) across the bank. You will assist in:
- Rolling out model risk management across domains and entities
- Establishing relationships with model stakeholders and advising them throughout the model life cycle
- Conducting model risk monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness of the bank's models
- Challenging model stakeholders about the sources of model risk and how to mitigate and manage them
- Supporting model risk community with model inventory and relevant policies and procedures
- Contributing in reporting to senior management and regulatory bodies
- Enhancing the current model risk management framework
How to succeed
To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you'll need:
- Master or Bachelor (third-year bachelor) student with a strong interest in banking, risk and governance
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, being able to convey complex messages in simple ways both orally and in writing
- Stakeholder management skills, good listener and able to obtain information from subject matter experts and incorporate stakeholders' feedback
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a diversified and multicultural work environment
- High degree of independence and pro-active attitude
- Team player
- Proficiency in MS office tools, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
