As a Customer Service Agent, you are the connecting factor between our organization and the customer. You liaise with various parties, including the warehouse, customs broker, and carriers. Additionally, you have daily communication with the customer regarding various matters such as shipments, order issues, transport, and relationship management. You provide logistic solutions that align with the customer's and DHL Supply Chain's needs.
Your position in the organization
Our location in Oud Gastel covers approximately 48,000 square meters and falls under the Business Unit South West. We are looking for a Customer Service Agent for a new client. It's an independent role where you do not directly manage others and report to the Operations Support Manager.Your new job as a Customer Service Agent
You will enter a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You deal with diverse interests (customer & organization) and have various responsibilities (including Customer Service, some planning & transport, and customs). Your tasks include:- Serving as the main contact person for the customer for specific operational questions & issues;
- Monitoring the progress and handling of exceptional services and products (such as rush orders or special requests);
- Handling administrative tasks related to customer service queries, such as requests and complaints from the customer;
- Ensuring the correct handling, both administratively and communicatively, of (customs) documentation for shipments;
- Allocating orders based on priority and date and releasing them in the system;
- Working closely with your colleague(s) in the warehouse.
Terms of Employment
- A full-time position;
- Salary in our CAO 7 (between € 2,434 and € 3,400, depending on your knowledge and experience, with growth potential up to € 3,795);

What DHL Supply Chain is looking for in a Customer Service Agent
- Experience with Microsoft Office, WMS & warehouse planning;
- (Basic) knowledge of customs documentation;
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks;
- Strong communication skills and excellent command of the English language in both written and spoken forms.
