While working in our centralised Digital department your job is to fully support our international business unit Cross Border Solutions (CBS) to seamlessly integrate their new e-commerce customers. In other words CBS is your internal customer. Your focus is on the IT-system integration, connecting the customers systems, API's and web portals with ours and potential even the IT-systems of other delivery partners in the international supply chain. Our high-end service to our international eCommerce customers for instance about track & traceability can only be delivered if logistic data can run smoothly from one system to another. It is your challenge to make this happen. Obviously you are not alone in this, but you will play a central part. You will serve as a link between our international customers, account management and our IT-organization. You will oversee the entire IT integration process from end-to-end, which implies that you are responsible for designing, testing, and implementing integration solutions for our international customers. It is your job to ensure that PostNL's IT-systems can "talk" with those of our key international customers.
Our Customer Integrations team is part of the ERT (Emergency Response Team) within PostNL. For the largest disruptions in the IT-chain, we play an essential role to detect and mitigate customer impact. This is an integral part of our work during office hours. Every once in a while IT related issues occur during evening hours. Over the last year this happened ones per three months. But when it happens we need to be there for our customers and manage to fix it. For this purpose we work in rotating standby shifts. Both for being standby as for actually working outside office hours we offer extra compensation.
Jouw collega'sWithin our centralised Digital department we push the digital transformation across our company and with our customers. We have the ambition to grow into the most efficient and innovative post and eCommerce delivery platform in the Benelux. In this department you will become part of our young and dynamic Customer Integration team which consisting 6 to 8 consultants. Together, you will strive for a continuous improvement of our customer experience. The team works hybrid and you will come to our office twice a week. Due to the international component of this role, you will speak English with our customers and Dutch your direct colleagues the majority of your time.

Dit bezorgen we jou- This position is on scale 9 with a salary between € 3.067,- and € 4.646,- gross monthly based on your background and level;

Sometimes, our IT-landscape differs a lot from that of our customers, making the integration assignment more challenging. In these situations, you are able to keep your head cool, step back and, define an effective IT-integration strategy before solving the puzzle. Occasionally the customer does not know which way to go. In such case, it is important that you always find out the needs of the customer so that you can help them get the desired solution tailored to their needs. Not only will you act as an expert regarding IT-integration, but you are also receptive to new ideas that customers might have on improving the integration process. Do we expect you to have all the required IT-knowledge ready at day 1? Of course not! Your colleagues will help you to expand your current basic knowledge of APIs, system integration techniques and customer IT-systems. So you are free to learn and grow fast!
You are able to combine your knowledge on IT system integration together with your strong customer service mindset. Your advanced customer service skills will help you to handle and resolve customer inquiries regarding IT integration/migration in a timely and accurate manner. While customers can be forceful and sometimes harsh in their approach, we need you to be strong and confident in your communication. Again, we would like to emphasize that we do not expect you to have all IT-knowledge inhouse at your first day at PostNL. Instead, you have affinity with IT and you are especially eager to learn more.
We encourage you to apply if you recognize yourself in the following bullet points:
- Preferably 2 years and maximum 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role related to IT integration/migration or other IT project management, or technical support roles. However, if you do not have this particular experience but can demonstrate your IT/business savviness otherwise, we still encourage you to apply as well.
- You demonstrate excellent business acumen and you have affinity with IT. Ideally, you have basic knowledge of API's, programming languages, troubleshooting, integration techniques or middleware solutions;
- You are perfectly able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Mastering the Dutch language is considered a plus;
- You have a relevant bachelor degree or higher, such as a degree in IT, information management, business administration or a similar field.
- You have affinity with the logistics industry in an e-commerce environment.
