Tasks
- Develop, prepare, and maintain competitive pricing proposals for air, ocean, and road freight services.
- Analyze carrier tariffs, surcharges, and market fluctuations to ensure accurate and profitable pricing.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance.
- Build and manage relationships with carriers, agents, and service providers to secure optimal rates.
- Evaluate RFQs/RFIs and prepare tailored pricing solutions for key accounts and tenders.
- Monitor profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Provide timely pricing support to internal stakeholders and respond to customer inquiries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certificate or Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics pricing, or procurement.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs processes, and international shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and pricing tools; experience with TMS or freight management systems is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of global freight markets, carrier structures, and rate negotiation processes.
