The position sits within the Product Care department of the Business Line Comfort and Insulation. What makes it very interesting is that you get to work daily with colleagues across the Business Line including Sales, Marketing, Technology, Customer Service, Supply Chain and more. Many of the responsibilities are global in nature, offering plenty of opportunity to get to know colleagues in other countries while solving new business challenges as a team. This position has a lot of responsibility including being the main interface between the Business Line and the Sample Center located in Essen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full ownership and improvement of the business line’s global product status list
  • Recommendation and alignment with Marketing and Technology on products that should be removed from the active product portfolio, and coordination with all parties involved while executing approved phase outs
  • Management of technical product data sheets globally
  • Global oversight of sampling, with emphasis on Germany, including quantitative analyses and reporting on sampling performance and costs, follow up on overdue samples, and recommendation / implementation of process improvement measures
  • Support new product launches in terms of sample set up, technical product data sheets, inclusion in the product status list, and consideration for the collection of R&D key figures
  • Participation in special projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree in a technical (e.g., chemistry, biology, engineering) or business discipline (e.g. marketing, supply chain) with minimum three years professional experience, or a Master’s degree with one year professional experience
  • Advanced Excel skills with analytical thinking capability
  • Hands-on user experience with SAP
  • General knowledge with Microsoft applications including Word and PowerPoint
  • Ideally project experience
  • Strong communication skills with proven German and English proficiency, both spoken and written (C1 equivalent or better)
  • High level of customer and result orientation
  • Interest in working with colleagues in other regions and being part of cross-functional teams, and also able to self-prioritize and work independently
