The laboratory assistant is responsible for laboratory management and supporting on-going projects in the R&D team. Working with different methods will make your day-to-day work varied and interesting.
This position reports to the Team Leader - Membranes and Diagnostic Applications> and is part of the R&D department located in Dassel, Germany and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Your work will focus on the planning, implementation and evaluation of project-supporting laboratory tasks
- Develop the next generation of rapid diagnostic tests with our Cytiva Diagnostic Services team
- Preparation of chemical solutions and substances and their disposal
- Documentation of your results and carry out evaluations
- General laboratory organization tasks and the maintenance of laboratory and analysis equipment
Who you are:
- Successfully completed training as a biological technical assistant (M/F/D), chemical technical assistant (BTA/CTA) or comparable qualification
- A high level of motivation and commitment as well as an independent, analytical and conscientious way of working
- Experience in a quality-controlled working environment is an advantage
- You are a team player with strong communication skills
- Fluent in German, both written and spoken, English language skills are an advantage
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel – list specifics % travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to ##lb, any other physical requirements
