The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse on behalf of a world-leading Petcare Science Institute.This role is central to optimising the health and welfare of the on-site animal population (dogs and cats) and ensuring the ethical and efficient delivery of an essential research program.
You will be a vital part of a collaborative Veterinary Operations team, working alongside Veterinary Surgeons and four Veterinary Nurses. This position offers the chance to utilise your full range of nursing skills in a non-client-facing environment, focusing intensely on animal health, welfare, and preventative care within a specialised research context. Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive veterinary nursing care during routine rounds and surgical procedures

Lead Nurse Clinics and health screening, managing care independently
*
Work collaboratively with the Veterinary Surgeons and Operations Activity Manager to continuously improve the animal healthcare program
*
Develop and deliver veterinary care training for site personnel, including pet health assessments, treatment administration and tasks related to breeding programs
*
Maintain the veterinary suites, laboratory and consult rooms, ensuring they are impeccably equipped, stocked and operate at maximum efficiency
*
Engage cross-functionally with Behaviour & Training, Unit Operations and Research teams to ensure the safe and effective delivery of trials
*
Actively drive continuous improvement and share best practices across teams
Required experience:

Essential: Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS) status with a Bachelor (BSc) or Foundation (FdSc) degree in veterinary nursing
*
Demonstrated proficiency in triage skills and experience working on-call
*
Strong practical experience in anaesthesia and sedation techniques
*
Expertise in companion animal welfare, behaviour and low-stress handling
*
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, collaborative team environments
*
Desirable: Completion of CPD courses in anaesthesia or animal behaviour and welfare
Working Context:

On-Call Rota: Participation in a required evening and weekend on-call rota (approximately 1 in 4). This paid rota requires both on-site attendance when called in and confidence in solo veterinary nursing support alongside a Veterinary Surgeon
