Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site, leading operational teams, ensuring production targets are achieved and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Plant Supervisor Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the processing plant.
* Manage and motivate operational teams to ensure safe and efficient site performance.
* Coordinate staffing and resources to maximise production and operational efficiency.
* Conduct team meetings, 1-to-1s and performance reviews.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and company procedures.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
* Monitor plant performance and work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
* Coordinate contractors and visitors, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
* Assist with budget control and cost management.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and site compliance.
* Produce operational reports and maintain accurate records.
Plant Supervisor Requirements:
* Previous experience in a Plant Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor or similar leadership role.
* Background within Anaerobic Digestion, waste processing, manufacturing, production or another industrial process environment.
* Proven experience leading, motivating and developing operational teams.
* Strong organisational, planning and resource management skills.
* Excellent communication and people management skills.
* Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and environmental compliance.
* IOSH qualification desirable.
* Heavy plant licences (Forklift, Telehandler or similar) advantageous.
* Relevant Waste Management or COTC qualification advantageous.
* Full UK driving licence.
