We are recruiting Retail Security Officers to join our teams across Devon, with opportunities available across multiple locations and sites. This is an exciting opportunity whether you're experienced in security or looking to take your first step into the industry. If you are new in the security industry and currently don't hold license, TSS will provide you with full paid for training and an SIA license.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:
- Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
- Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
- Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
- Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
- Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
- Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
- Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
- Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
- Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
- Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn and the SIA licence is clearly displayed

It is crucial to have great communication and customer service skills. A lot of admin is digital and paperless, so you'll need to be tech-savvy enough to use our digital devices.
