Rate: £35.00–£38.00 per hour PAYE
Contract duration: 6-months, potential extension
Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days remote)

The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering engineering projects safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will provide engineering and project support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring customer requirements are met while driving continuous improvement.
This role would suit someone with a mechanical or engineering background who has experience coordinating engineering activities, managing stakeholders and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engineering projects safely, accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Coordinate project activities and provide engineering support to internal and external project teams.
• Develop and maintain project service plans and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements and engineering standards.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve project execution.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
• Assist with project close-out activities, including preparation of final project reports and documentation.
• Mentor and support colleagues where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, operations and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
We're interested in candidates with:
• Previous experience in a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar engineering role.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience delivering engineering or maintenance projects within manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, industrial or heavy engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of project planning, technical documentation and engineering processes.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, HSE procedures and safe systems of work.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience with project documentation, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• SAP or other maintenance/project management systems would be advantageous but not essential.
