Payroll Manager

12 month FTC

Leicester / Hybrid – 1–2 days per week onsite
ASAP start

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to step into a busy, fast-paced payroll function supporting around 2,000 employees.

This is an urgent hire, and ideally we’re looking for someone who can start quickly enough to benefit from a handover with the current Payroll Manager.

Sage 50 payroll experience is essential.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for a payroll operation covering approximately 2,000 employees across 12 monthly pay runs, managing a team of 3–4 Payroll Administrators.

The current payroll environment is fairly manual, with a significant amount of spreadsheet-based activity, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable rolling their sleeves up, getting into the detail and bringing structure and confidence to the function.

You’ll need to be someone who can quickly understand what’s working, identify what isn’t, support and manage the existing team and ensure payroll continues to run accurately and on time.
