The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Salary: £21.28 (PAYE) & £1.71 Second Tier Payment and £0.75 Retention payment on all hours worked. Lodge payment available and 10% of base rate payable if in Lodgings.
Contract Type: 1 year contract Working 11 day Fortnight.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team. You will play a key role in Installing maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems across our project division to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Install electrical systems and components in industrial settings (e.g., factories, warehouses, processing plants).
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across, control panels, and site infrastructure.
Install, upgrade, and commission electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and PLC controlled equipment.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage.
Skills & Experience Required
Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment.
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, and industrial control systems (advantageous).
Good problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent
2391 testing & inspection qualification (desirable)
