The Piping Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of Mechanical and Piping Construction Work Packs, supporting construction activities within the nuclear industry. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, conducting constructability assessments, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, defining work scopes, and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, quality, and project requirements. The successful candidate will support installation planning, resolve technical issues, and drive the timely delivery of work packs to enable safe and efficient construction execution.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience delivering Mechanical and Piping Construction Work Packs.
Background in highly regulated industries (nuclear preferred) or major infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of piping installation, constructability reviews, and construction methodologies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Proficient in Navisworks and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of configuration management and document control processes
Role information:
Deliver Mechanical and Piping Construction Work Packs in line with project requirements and programme milestones.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Carry out constructability reviews and define clear work scope boundaries.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, SMEs, and stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
Support installation planning and sequencing of construction activities.
Ensure all documentation complies with nuclear safety, quality, and project standards.
Identify materials, temporary works, and other enablers required to support construction delivery.
Maintain configuration control and ensure documentation is kept up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
