A well-established business in Andover is looking for a Purchasing Admin to support the Purchasing Manager and help manage the day-to-day running of the purchasing department. You'll assist with sourcing and ordering supplies, materials and components, ensuring the right balance of price, quality and on-time delivery, while maintaining accurate records and strong supplier relationships.

£26,500 per annum
Working hours
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
Fully onsite in Andover

Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to the Purchasing Manager
Help manage the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department
Ensure supplies/materials/components are fit for purpose, consistent and meet internal/external requirements
Develop and maintain supplier relationships through regular communication
Arrange product samples for relevant product areas
Purchase parts/materials at competitive prices and ensure on-time delivery
Manage monthly call-offs
Progress orders and resolve supplier queries
Book-in purchase orders and deliveries
Manage supplier returns paperwork, liaising with the accounts team where required
Update product records as needed
Assist with stock adjustments following daily stock checks
Support the team in establishing and maintaining quality requirements from external suppliers

Excellent planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise effectively
Confident working on your own initiative with a desire to make a difference
