The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Pro Staff Construction Ltd are working with an established construction contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Director to join their senior leadership team.
This is a key strategic appointment for the business and would suit an experienced finance professional with a strong background within construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the finance team, including junior finance staff and purchase ledgers
* Oversee financial operations across the Construction Company, and multiple SPV companies
* Review and approve VAT returns, payroll, CIS returns, and management accounts
* Prepare and present monthly consolidated management accounts to the board
* Develop and maintain financial forecasts and cashflow reporting
* Manage tight cashflow positions effectively and provide strategic financial guidance
* Work closely with technical, commercial, land, and construction teams
* Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness
* Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Finance Director or Senior Financial Controller within the construction sector
* Strong understanding of VAT, CIS, payroll, forecasting, and cashflow management
* Experience managing multiple entities / SPVs
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Relevant accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
* Ideally, experience working within larger businesses with a turnover of £50m+
