What will you be doing?
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of ambitious owner-managed businesses, acting as a trusted point of contact and delivering a high-quality, commercially focused service.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, trusted relationships
* Preparing and delivering meaningful management information
* Helping clients understand their financial performance and make informed business decisions
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
* Overseeing VAT returns and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
* Using Xero and other cloud-accounting tools to improve processes and provide useful insight
* Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate
* Maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism and client service
What are we looking for?
This opportunity would suit a newly qualified or qualified accountant who has developed a strong technical foundation within an accountancy practice and is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships and advisory work.
You will have:
* A newly qualified or qualified ACA or ACCA
* Relevant experience gained within an accountancy practice
* Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
* Experience producing management information and explaining financial performance to clients
* Strong knowledge of Xero and cloud-accounting systems
* Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership of deadlines
* A genuine interest in how businesses operate and grow
* A confident, professional and personable approach
