The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This Technical Manager opportunity is with a Residential Groundworks and Civil Engineering company. With 70 years in operation and a £60m turnover, this established Residential Groundworks company is looking to expand its operational team with the inclusion of a Technical Manager to oversee Site Engineers. There is also an excellent opportunity for career progression into more senior roles.
Projects range from £10m–£40m in value and include working in tandem with main contractors on civil engineering and groundworks packages for major housebuilders. As such, candidates will ideally come from a Residential Groundworks background and have experience delivering similar schemes.
Overview:
* Ensuring technically compliant and economic design solutions are developed at the design stage
* Schedules, prioritises and reviews own work
* Analytical thinking and decision making
* Ability to select economic solutions at tender stage
* Understanding of time and the implications of decisions
Education:
* Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND through completion of a technical apprenticeship, or degree
* Chartered Engineer would be desirable but not essential
