We're looking for a Warehouse & Despatch Operative to join our team at our Little Barford premises. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation, helping make sure our products are received, stored, picked, packed, and despatched to the highest standard.

What will you be doing?
Working closely with our Despatch & Warehouse Team Leader, you'll play an important role in keeping our warehouse and despatch operation running smoothly.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Picking products accurately and preparing orders for despatch.
Packing products to our high presentation standards, ensuring everything leaves site looking professional and ready for the customer.
Supporting the despatch of national and international consignments.
Checking paperwork, labels, quantities and packaging to make sure orders are right first time.
Receiving incoming goods and checking quantities and condition against delivery documentation.
Reporting shortages, damage or discrepancies promptly.
Keeping stock organised, correctly labelled and easy to find.
Supporting regular stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory.
Investigating stock discrepancies and helping resolve them.
Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, safe and well organised.
Supporting the ongoing improvement of our warehouse environment as we complete our current refurbishment.
Working flexibly across Goods In, picking, packing, inventory and despatch depending on what the business needs.In short, you'll help make sure the right products get to the right place, at the right time, in the right condition — every time.

Requirements
You'll be someone who:

Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work.

Is comfortable being active and on your feet for much of the day.

Wants to own their role, make a difference and continually improve how things are done.
Has experience working within a warehouse, stores, despatch or stock control environment and is comfortable using stock or inventory management systems.
Understands the day-to-day demands of a warehouse operation, including the importance of health and safety, organisation and working efficiently as part of a team.
Enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in doing things the right way, and can be relied upon to keep things running smoothly.
Ideally holds a forklift licence, although this isn't essential. We're happy to provide training for the right person who brings the right attitude and willingness to learn.Benefits
