Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the site's maintenance function, driving equipment reliability, engineering performance, compliance and continuous improvement across a modern, highly automated manufacturing facility.
This is a visible leadership role with significant influence across operations, engineering and continuous improvement initiatives, offering genuine scope to shape maintenance strategy and develop a high-performing team.
The Opportunity
As Maintenance Lead, you will take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance activities, engineering resource planning, contractor management, stores control and maintenance systems. You will play a key role in improving plant reliability, reducing downtime and supporting a culture of operational excellence.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead and develop the site's maintenance team
Manage preventative maintenance program and CMMS
Drive improvements in equipment reliability and asset performance
Manage engineering contractors and external resources
Support continuous improvement and RCA activities
Maintain engineering compliance, safety standards and statutory inspections
Collaborating closely with Production, Operations and Engineering stakeholders to support business objectives.About You
We are looking for a proactive and engaging engineering leader who combines strong technical capability with excellent people management skills.
Key skills & experience:
Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
Experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing, process or industrial environment; chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, FMCG, process manufacturing or similarly regulated industries.
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, asset management and reliability principles
Experience working with a CMMS
A background in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering
Strong leadership skills along with the ability to coach, develop and motivate teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience operating within highly regulated manufacturing environments.Why Join?
