Marine Superintendent
Migdale Transport is seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Superintendent to join our team and play a key role in the success of our wellboat and transport operations.
This is a senior operational position, working closely with the Wellboat Operations Manager and wider team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine services.
Start date: Ideally beginning of April 2026
The Role
As Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating wellboat operations
- Liaising with crews, office staff, and customers
- Ensuring vessels, and equipment are maintained and operating safely
- Monitoring compliance with company Safety Management Systems
- Managing maintenance, crew changes, and operational planning
- Ensuring vessels are fully equipped and supplied
- Maintaining accurate operational, compliance, and financial records
- Promoting environmental responsibility and best practice
- Supporting continuous improvement and business development
- Ensuring compliance with flag and port state regulations.
- Maintaining and evolving an effective safety management system.
This is a key leadership role within the business, with responsibility for maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and customer service.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- A valid Masters/Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency (essential)
- Experience in marine operations (aquaculture experience desirable)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, reporting systems)
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and welfare
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotas

Location & Hours
- Primary location: Migdale Transport Oban Office, Scotland
- Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate
- Average working week: 43 hours
