The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
My client are seeking a skilled and passionate Test/Development Baker to join their team and support the wider NPD team. This role involves testing and evaluating new recipes, ingredients, and baking techniques to support innovation and excellence within the bakery sector.
As a Test Baker, you’ll play a key role in new and existing product development projects, technical trials, and customer support activities. You’ll contribute to advancing bakery processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct baking trials and provide detailed reports on results and findings.
* Working with high hydration doughs using traditional fermentation methods such as the bulk ferment, stretch & fold.
* Support New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects.
* Maintain bakery equipment and identify any technical or resource needs.
* Create and update test protocols and documentation.
* Provide technical support and bakery process advice to customers and internal teams.
* Participate in trade fairs, demonstrations, and customer events.
* Deliver and support technical training for colleagues, partners, and customers on bakery processes, yeasts, sourdoughs, ingredients, and mixes.
* Stay up to date with market trends, customer needs, and developments in the baking industry.
