What You Will Be Doing
As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter you will be responsible for:
Carrying out major and minor repairs on HGVs to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Completing inspections and planned maintenance as an experienced HGV Mechanic
Diagnosing faults accurately to DVSA standards
Maintaining accurate service and repair records
Supporting occasional roadside repairs when required
Keeping the workshop area clean and safe at all times
Assisting with the development of apprentices
Pay and Benefits
£18.00–£19.00 per hour depending on experience
Birthday day off
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Death in service at 4x salary

What You Will Need
To be considered as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter within a commercial vehicle environment
Level 3 HGV qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI or equivalent)
Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability
Sound knowledge of DVSA compliance standards
Full UK driving licence
