We're looking for a Vehicle Technician to join the team at our Peterborough depot. You'll be working across a wide range of makes and models, carrying out everything from routine servicing and maintenance through to complex diagnostic repairs.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician - Cars & LGV, Automotive
 
As our Vehicle Technician, you'll take ownership of your own area of work and will be trusted to complete the job to a high standard.
 
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Identifying and rectifying in-depth and complex diagnostic faults.
· Carrying out service, maintenance and repairs across a range of cars and LGVs.
· Liaising with the Parts Department to make sure jobs are completed efficiently.
· Completing job cards, service sheets, clocking and other relevant documentation accurately and on time.
· Keeping your workspace clean, tidy and organised.
· Maintaining up-to-date product and technical knowledge and attending training where required.
· Supporting and mentoring apprentices and other members of the wider team when required.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician - Cars & LGV, Automotive
 
We're looking for someone who knows their way around a vehicle and, more importantly, knows how to find the fault when things aren't straightforward.
 
Ideally, you'll have:
· City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant vehicle maintenance/repair discipline, or strong proven experience.
· Higher-level diagnostic training or previous experience in a similar senior diagnostic role.
· A full, valid driving licence.
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to work as part of a team and support less experienced technicians.
