Our client is looking for an experienced and dependable Multi Trade / Multi Skilled Operative to join their growing operational team.
This is a varied, hands-on position suited to an experienced tradesperson who has a strong practical background across building works, refurbishment, repairs and general maintenance. You will work across a range of commercial, Government and public sector properties, carrying out works to a high standard and providing a professional service to clients.
The role would suit someone from a multi-trade, carpentry, building maintenance, property maintenance or general building background who enjoys practical work, problem solving and working independently.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of building and refurbishment works, which may include:
* Carpentry repairs and installations
* Tiling and flooring repairs
* Painting and decorating
* Brickwork and general building repairs
* Fencing and gate repairs
* Basic plumbing repairs
* Making good and remedial works
* Door, ironmongery and general building repairs
* Minor refurbishment works
* General property and building maintenance
* Identifying issues and providing practical solutions on site
* Working safely and professionally across client sites
You will be expected to take ownership of your work, work effectively with minimal supervision and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
No individual is expected to be experienced across every trade. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong core trade or practical building background and can demonstrate a willingness to undertake a variety of works.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within one or more of the following areas:
* Multi-trade / multi-skilled work
* Carpentry or joinery
* Building maintenance
* Property maintenance
* Refurbishment
* General building works
* Reactive repairs
* Commercial or residential maintenance
You should be confident working independently, using your own initiative and resolving practical problems as they arise.
Good communication skills and a professional approach are important, as you will be working across a variety of client environments.
Working Area
The role involves regular travel across Surrey, London and the wider South East, so candidates must be comfortable travelling between sites.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Training & Development
The company is committed to supporting the ongoing development of its employees and provides training relevant to the role, which may include: First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, PASMA, IPAF and additional industry-specific training.
Qualifications
Essential: Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable, but not essential: NVQ or City & Guilds qualification, Carpentry / Joinery qualification, CSCS Card, First Aid, PASMA and IPAF
Relevant practical experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
